Here are our top 5 tips for staying productive & looking after your wellbeing whilst working from home.
1. Don’t stay in your pyjamas
It’s tempting to stay in your pyjamas all day when no-one else is around, but is it really a good idea? No, research shows that putting on business clothing helps adopt the mindset of your role.
2. Set boundaries and time limits — and hold yourself to them
One of the challenges of working from home is dealing with distractions, and it can be especially hard if you have other people at home. Make sure you allocate time for each task, once completed take a short break and continue the process.
3. Aim for at least one face-to-face conversation each day
Scheduled catch-ups with colleagues or even friends over FaceTime or Zoom, as this can be really helpful to minimise feeling lonely or isolated.
4. Schedule in some time for yourself
It’s important to set time for you – go for a walk, read, or you could sit and meditate. That’s key for your mental health.
5. Manage your exposure to media coverage
As this can increase feelings of fear and anxiety. Be mindful of sources of information and ensure you are accessing good quality and accurate information.
